IoT and Wireless Connectivity Provider VIAA Brings Customers and Solutions Expertise to Further Strengthen Globalgig Capabilities

SAN ANTONIO, TX., March 9, 2022 – Globalgig announced today that the company has acquired San Diego based Evacomm, creator of the IoT connectivity brand VIAA (www.viaa.com) which provides customized IoT and wireless data solutions to a wide range of businesses. VIAA customers leverage mobile network connectivity around the world for applications from inventory management to security and monitoring.

VIAA was built to simplify the process of connecting IoT devices to mobile networks. VIAA customers range from start-ups building proof-of-concept projects to Fortune 1000 companies deploying large fleets of devices. Founder Matt MacAdams describes the value that VIAA provides, “we take an active role with our customers in project design, deployment and ongoing operational support, which has been the key to our success.  We focus on offloading the complexities of mobile network connectivity, allowing customers to focus on delivering value to their end users.”

MacAdams will be Globalgig’s EVP of Voice and Data, as part of the Office of CTO. MacAdams started in the mobile communications space over 25 years ago, developing cellular services for travel and mobile communications.  Prior to VIAA, he was the Director of Technology for Phone.com where he led efforts to scale their enterprise voice platform.

“Globalgig and VIAA have the same focus on customer experience and innovation,” said Ernest Cunningham, CEO of Globalgig. “We are very impressed with VIAA’s ability to design a tailored solution, co-manage projects with customers and provide deep wireless and telecommunications expertise to ensure project success.”
