SAN ANTONIO, TX., April 11, 2022 – Globalgig, the preferred choice of innovators seeking connectivity solutions, announced today the launch of the Globalgig eSIM and support on its industry leading Orchestra™ Mobility Management Platform.  Globalgig already enables customers to access over 800 networks in over 200 countries with multiple SIM options. With the Globalgig eSIM, customers can install a single SIM capable of world-wide coverage and access to all network technologies from 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G to NB-IoT, LTE-M and CBRS/private LTE.  Support for eSIM on Globalgig’s Orchestra Mobility Management Platform delivers the automatic provisioning of appropriate carrier credentials base on location and business rules.  Customers can now eliminate the complexity of managing multiple SIMs to meet location, carrier or network technology requirements.

Globalgig’s eSIM offering encompasses both the traditional removable eSIM form factors (2FF/3FF/4FF) as well as the embedded form factor (MFF2).  The Globalgig eSIM is designed to work with any device that supports bearer independent protocol (BIP).  Once the eSIM is powered-up in a device, the eSIM credentials for network access are delivered over-the-air within a few seconds, whether the devices are moving from country to country or in a fixed location.  eSIM activities are tracked in real-time and made available to customers through the Globalgig Orchestra Mobility Management Platform so real-time actions such as alerting or immediate service suspension can be taken.  If the mobile carrier suddenly loses service due to coverage, network congestion or an outage, Globalgig’s eSIM Service Assurance feature can automatically move connectivity to an alternate network, allowing the device to maintain seamless access.

For device and equipment manufacturers as well as other wholesale and reseller partners, Globalgig offers customized programs, pricing and support. The Orchestra Mobility Management Platform is API-based and designed for multi-tenancy so wholesale/resale customers can easily manage their end-user clients, devices, SIMs and data plans.  “The Globalgig eSIM can simplify the logistics and management of SIMs and wireless connectivity for any application,” said Ernest Cunningham, Globalgig CEO.  “We are putting our customers in full control of their global SIM deployments and providing data on their SIMs and devices to make real-time business decisions.”

Globalgig selected and licensed Thales Adaptive Connect for the provisioning and downloading of eSIM credentials, with integration to Globalgig’s Orchestra Mobility Management Platform for user verification and mobile network subscriptions. “We’re excited for Globalgig to leverage our Thales Adaptive Connect platform and eSIM solution for smart connection of massive fleets of IoT devices,” said Emmanuel Unguran, SVP Mobile Connectivity Solutions at Thales.  “Thales is an industry leader in eSIM technology providing network operators and device makers with innovative eSIM/SIM and remote connectivity management solutions.”
